Alternative Venues for Visits

Alternative Venues for Visits

This section will give you ideas for alternative venues for face-to-face visits if families would prefer to meet outside their home.

We'll keep updating this list as we get more information about venues that are open, including community centres, museums, libraries, places of worship, parks and playgrounds, farms and many more.

If you find a venue that could be used for visits, please let us know so we can add it to the Guidebook

5PS

You can now book rooms at 5PS. There are 7 rooms on the Ground and 1st floor.

Childrens services (including us) and adult social care are prioritised for these rooms. You can book the rooms through Business Support [email protected].

If you can’t find a room, you can contact Business Support (Forhad Mohammad Ali is a wonderfully helpful contact) and they will check through the bookings and see if anything can be moved (ie a non-priority booking).

Maximum capacity in the ground and 1st floor rooms is lower than usual to enable social distancing:

  • Waterlow – 3 people
  • Roundhouse - 4 people advised (5 Max if no other room available)
  • Waterlow – 3 people
  • Roundhouse – 4 people advised (5 Max if no other room available)
  • Granary – 5/6 people
  • Coram – 5/6 people

There are also 1-2-1 rooms that belong to Contact Camden that can be booked. They are obviously much smaller. Eanna Bell is the contact and they are booked through Contact Camden at [email protected] .

If you book a room at 5PS or any Council building, you will need to make sure you have a record of contact details for everyone in the meeting. You can find more information about this at the bottom of this Guidebook page here:

Reminder of Social Distancing Rules in 5PS

All staff working in our buildings must…

This means that…

Wear a face covering in communal areas where safe social distancing can be more difficult from Monday 5 October. Visitors to our buildings will be required to do the same.

Unless you are exempt, staff will need to wear a face covering when entering the building and travelling to your desk, and in corridors, kitchens, stairs, lifts and toilets.

Stay 2-metres apart from your colleagues

You must respect social distancing guidance at all times – including on breaks

Our buildings have clear signage explaining how all desks, break-out areas and communal spaces should be used and it is crucial that this is followed.

Sit at your allocated desk each time you work in the building

There is currently no hot-desking in any of our buildings. All FSCF seats are labelled with your name; if you are unsure, please check the seat allocations list here:

https://ascpractice.camden.gov.uk/media/2143/bubble-seating-allocation-7th-floor-september-2020.pdf

Do not share any food or drinks with colleagues

You must not put out any food or drinks to be shared communally with your team. All food and drink must be stored in a sealed container in the fridges or food cupboards.

Book a meeting room with a screen if you need to meet a resident in person

Any face-to-face meetings with residents must be held in 5PS in one of our ground floor face-to-face meeting rooms, which are equipped with screens.

Ensure meeting rooms do not exceed the maximum occupancy

To meet social distancing guidelines we have reduced the number of people who can be accommodated in our meeting rooms.

You must continue to social distance when in meetings and numbers of attendees must not exceed the stated occupancy of each room - if you are unsure check the signage on the door.

Meeting Families in 5PS and Council Buildings - Get Contact Details

If we do meet families in Council buildings, including libraries, 5PS, Vadnie Bish, or childrens centres, or youth centres), Corporate have given us some instructions  for making sure we have their contact details for track and trace.

If we do meet a family in Council buildings, we have been asked to keep a record of their contact details if they are attending:

  • for longer than 15 minutes or
  • for less than 15 minutes, but are likely to come into close contact (less than 2 metres) of another person or
  • for direct care.

The contact details you need to record are:

  • The name of the customer/visitor – if there is a group of people attending, we only need to record details of the lead member of the group
  • A contact phone number – for each customer or visitor, or for the lead member of the group
  • Date of visit, arrival time and wherever possible, departure time
  • If a customer/visitor will only interact with one member of staff, the name of the assigned staff member should be recorded alongside the name of the customer.
