Government Guidance
The Department for Transport have issued an advice notice about transport to school, which you could use to talk through with parents. You can find it here:

TFL Guidance
TFL have issued new guidance on transport for the return to school from March 2021.
TfL are asking everyone travelling to continue following their safer travel guidance to protect themselves and others. This includes maintaining social distancing where possible, washing or sanitising hands before and after journeys, and considering walking or cycling where possible. Bus windows should remain open to ensure a good supply of fresh air, even in cold weather.
It is compulsory for everyone aged 11 and over to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth throughout any public transport journey unless exempt. If a child aged 11 or over isn’t wearing a face covering without an exemption or reasonable explanation, TfL officers may arrange for a warning letter to be sent to their parent or guardian. Further non-compliance could lead to the suspension of their concessionary travel. Adults who are not wearing a face covering may be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice.
TfL Bus Network
TfL plans to continue running additional ‘School Services’ on their bus network throughout the spring 2021 term. School Services will continue to operate in a similar way to the first half of the autumn term, with extra services running and up to half of all buses on certain higher-frequency routes signed as 'School Services' during peak times for school travel.
Bus services are planned to operate similarly to how they did in the autumn term, with extra services running on some rooms and up to half of all busses on higher-frequency routes signed as 'School Services' at school travel times (between 7.30-9am and 2.30-4.30pm)
Details of planned additional services and routes operating with buses signed as a ‘school service’ will be updated on TfL’s bus service changes webpage once confirmed, and this page will be regularly updated with any changes.
Free TFL Transport for Under 18s
A reminder that children and young people under 18 qualify for free or discounted transport on TFL services. TFL reported on 18 August 2020 that there are no changes to free travel for children and young people, and that looks to be continuing into the Spring 2021 term.
