Food

This section contains information about food for families during COVID including a food flow chart, foodbanks, emergency food parcel deliveries, supermarket vouchers and more. 

Please read the food flow chart tab FIRST.  This will show you the steps to take to decide what to do to secure food for your family.

Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

The HAF provides a wide range of activities in community settings during Christmas, Easter and summer school holidays. It is for children aged 5-16, and a healthy meal is provided.

Coordinated by Young Camden Foundation, eligibility includes: 

  • School aged children from Reception to Year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals.
  • Children with an EHC plan (education, health, and care)
  • Looked-after children or previously looked after children
  • Children assessed by the local authority as being in need, at risk or vulnerable
  • Young carers
  • Children living in areas of high deprivation or from low-income households who are not in receipt of free school meals.
  • Children in transition phases between nursery and primary school or primary and secondary school
