Family Early Help
General Rules
- Our face-to-face visits procedure applies to visits in the home and in alternative venues. Please make sure you follow them, and that you have your face covering and any additional PPE that your risk assessment says you need. You can find the procedure here
https://ascpractice.camden.gov.uk/early-help-guide/family-early-help-covid-guidebook/fscf-procedures-during-covid/face-to-face-visits-guidance-and-procedures/#main - Every venue has its own rules to help its users stay COVID-secure. You must request and read the venue's COVID-risk assessment before you book a room, and make sure you understand the venue's instructions of they expect you to do whilst on their premises.
- Please make sure to communicate the venues instructions to the family before the visit so they know what to do whilst on the premises.
- Ask the venue what their requirements are for contact tracing (for example do they have a QR code, do they need contact details for everyone in the meeting etc)
- You can contact the venue yourself to make the booking. Contact details are listed for each venue. Once you have booked, pass the details to Elaine Crouch who will pay for the room either via credit card or via purchase order.
- Not all rooms will appear very 'child friendly' (e.g. furniture may be kept to a minimum and soft furnishings /toys may have been removed). Please bear this in mind and take what you need with you to help children feel secure, safe and occupied during the visit.
- If anything at the venue gives you cause for concern in relation to COVID risks, please leave with the family immediately and contact your line manager with the details of your concern. Your line manager will pass this on to Becca so that any issues can be swiftly addressed.

Book a Nature Reserve Space
A number of Camden nature reserves have opened their space for families to use during COVID. The 1 hour slots are booked in advance and its one family at a time.
The nature reserve spaces are primarily for families in temporary or overcrowded accommodation, or for families that include someone with SEND.
You can also book a nature reserve space to have a face-to-face visit or a walk-and-talk with a family.
Here is information about the scheme and a spreadsheet showing the nature reserve locations
