Parking and Transport for Workers

Parking and Transport for Workers

Here you will find information about parking permits, bikes for workers, and information about Transport for London's plans during COVID

Process for Applying for an Essential Worker Parking Permit (at 1 November 2020)

Please follow this process if you wish to apply for, or to extend, an essential worker parking permit:

  • Worker talks with their manager about their need for a parking permit (either extending an existing permit or applying for their first permit). The workers individual risk assessment should identify that a parking permit is needed to help mitigate risks.

  • Manager writes a short summary of the workers need for a permit, and how it is identified in their their risk assessment to help mitigate risks (Becca can supply a sample summary to help with this if needed)

  • Manager sends the summary to Becca by email

  • Becca submits the summary to Parking Operations, copied to the manager and HR advisor
  • Parking Operations consider the permit application and notify Becca of the outcome

  • If the permit application is successful, Parking Operations will then ask the manager by email for the workers car registration. The manager should confirm the registration number by return email

  • Parking Operations will then activate the permit and email the worker to confirm
