Stroke Association Communication Support Service

The Stroke Association provides a communication support service to help people with aphasia or other communication difficulties after a stroke within Camden and Islington.

The Stroke Association Communication Support group are able to provide assistance to people who is experiencing communication difficulties after a stroke, focusing on helping people to build their confidence and find new ways to communicate. 

The service offers:

  • One-to-one support.
  • Group support from trained volunteers.
  • Communication practice in a supportive environment.
  • Information about aphasia and other communication difficulties
  • Tips to support your recovery.
  • The chance to share experiences and make new friends.
  • Help to access local leisure and social activities.
