Cost of Living Crisis and Tackling Poverty

Information and advice about the Cost of Living Crisis and Tackling Poverty

Cost of Living Crisis and Tackling Poverty

In response to the Cost of Living Crisis that began following the pandemic, the council agreed a £2.25m annual cost of living crisis fund to provide financial support to residents who cannot afford essentials to live.  This section outlines how you can refer residents for a cost of living fund and how they can refer themselves.

There are further organisations which can support people struggling with money or debt issues, and help with paying for essentials over winter and provide benefit advice. These can be found on the same website as the Camden Advice Network organisations by scrolling down.

Residents can also access free information in-person at a number of events between January and March from Camden's advice bus.

These will be run by voluntary and third sector organisations. There are also free and low-cost community events running across Camden over the winter months. Further information on the advice bus and low-cost events can be found here.
