In line with the Care Act 2014 the local authority has a duty to assess and ensure that all eligible needs arising from that assessment are met and the identification of eligible need will be based on the National Eligibility Criteria. It is essential that the local authority arranges care and support that not only reflects the choice and preferences of the adult but takes into reasonable consideration, the local authority’s financial, budgetary positions and available resources.
