Gold Service:
Purpose
This procedure describes the Gold Service where Careline monitor and respond to customers.
Each customer must have agreed to:
- Provide Careline with a full set of keys and/ or fobs in order to access their property from street level.
- Careline assisting with getting keys cut if necessary.
If the customer cannot fulfil the above then they cannot be offered the Gold visiting Service and their option would be the Silver contacts Service.
Cost
The rental service charge for the Gold Service is £5.72 per week although this will change every financial year.
There is also the option for Careline customers to be means tested which will result in the service being subsidised and no charges levied.
To qualify the customer must:
- Be in receipt of means tested benefits e.g. housing benefits, income based jobseekers, employment support allowance or universal credit.
All equipment is on hire and must be returned when it is no longer needed.
