Safeguarding Adults and Children

Purpose

The Careline service works with customers, their carers and our partners to ensure that all vulnerable adults and children are afforded the right to be treated with dignity and respect and are protected from risk and abuse. There can be no secrets and hiding places when it comes to exposing the abuse of vulnerable adults or children.

Process

Where a staff member is concerned about the safety of a customer they should in the first instance Social Services will guide staff through the reporting process. Outside office hours the duty social worker should be contacted.

Whenever there are any concerns or actions taken by staff all instances must be entered onto Jontek.

Members of the Careline management team must also be informed.
