Responsibility
All staff
Process
Due to the intimate nature of Careline work there may be concerns regarding health and safety. Response Officers may be required to clean up bodily fluids and waste whilst providing help and assistance. Staff are expected to be flexible and comprehensive when attending a callout, taking into account health and safety factors. Customers must always be left in a comfortable and settled state.
NB: It is important to make other agencies e.g. home care agencies, aware of gaps in service provision. Additionally to raise such issues with the social worker involved with the customer and to record concerns on MOSAIC.
