Careline: Helping you keep your independence

Assistive Technology (Careline Telecare)

Everything you need to know about the Careline service and how to utilise the amazing potential of assistive technology to promote independence and deliver effective prevention.

For more information on Careline see the Camden Care Choices website

Brain in Hand is an app for phones or tablets that can support people to live more independently, and to get their day back on track in situations that they may find challenging. A referral guide for Camden has been developed to support practitioners and individuals in making referrals.

The app provides reminders of diary events or routines (such as when to take medication) and personalised coping strategies. Extra support can be requested using the traffic lights within the app. The traffic light system is linked to trained responders from Brain in Hand

The Brain in Hand app is one of the many ways Camden use assistive technology to support wellbeing and independence.

A lunchtime webinar took place in August and the recording can be found here. The webinar cover:

  • an introduction to  Brain in Hand
  • how it works
  • who would benefit from the app
  • how to make referrals

Further information on the app can be found on the Brain in Hand Website. If you have any questions please contact Careline ([email protected]).
