About the Academy

The Academy is here to support practitioners to develop their practice, expand their knowledge and skills and plan their career in the many different roles within the Directorate. We aim to work in partnership with every service within the Children and Learning Directorate to ensure the whole workforce has opportunities for learning and career development within their sector.

The Academy is part of the Relational Practice Directorate and has a dedicated team of practitioners and other professionals working together to support workforce development.

The Academy is led by the Director of Relational Practice Nana Bonsu.

The head of the Academy Jessica Eneberi is the Principal Social Worker whose role is to promote a culture of learning, championing new research, ideas and practice innovation as well as fostering a safe, supportive working environment for practitioners.

The Academy team manager Jay Fente is responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of learning across the Directorate.

Practice Development Officers based in the Academy offer support to all workers on their learning journey.
