Information sharing

It is vital that there is good information sharing between agencies in order to safeguard children as this ensures the professional network are aware of the full picture of the child's life and experiences. However information must be shared in a lawful manner.

Sometimes parents may ask to record a meeting (or may do so covertly).

The following policy and guidance sets out the law in relation to recordings and whether the recording can be used as evidence, for example during care proceedings.
