Equality and diversity

Camden aims to become an inclusive organisation that reflects the diverse community it serves and fosters a fair and equal society. This ambition is extended to Camden staff so that the experience of working for Camden is a positive one for everyone.

As a public organisation, Camden has a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to deliver public services in a non-discriminatory manner. This is known as the Equality Duty.

Camden is a diverse community and the council recognises the importance of celebrating this diversity and taking steps to ensure social cohesion in the borough. To achieve this, Camden expects all council services to be delivered in a way that promotes equality of opportunity for all so that residents do not experience discrimination and harassment.

The Equality and Diversity policy sets out how CSFH will implement the Equality Duty when working with families.
