Partnership working

Safeguarding children requires multi-agency cooperation and CSFH works closely with many agencies in order to deliver services to improve outcomes for children and families. These documents set out the agreed protocols for joint working with partner agencies in children’s and adults services and other council departments.

Camden has 3 major hospitals within the borough and it is essential that there is close working between hospital services and CSSW where there are safeguarding concerns about a child.

CSFH has a protocol with the Royal Free Hospital, University College Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital with regard to joint working where there are safeguarding issues about unborn children and children who are in hospital, including safeguarding children under section 85 of the Children Act who are likely to be in hospital for more than 3 months.
