Partnership working

Safeguarding children requires multi-agency cooperation and CSFH works closely with many agencies in order to deliver services to improve outcomes for children and families. These documents set out the agreed protocols for joint working with partner agencies in children’s and adults services and other council departments.

The EDT provide an emergency social work service on behalf of the council overnight and during weekends and bank holidays. The contact number for the service is 020 7974 4444

Generally the EDT only deals with children and families in crisis that are not known to CSFH, but the team will accept referrals on open cases in certain circumstances as set out in the Handover to EDT protocol, which also provides details of referral to the team and how the team informs social workers of EDT intervention in allocated cases.
