Placement visits and CLA reviews

As a corporate parent, it is the duty of the local authority  to monitor placements and review care plans regularly to ensure the child's needs are being met and their welfare promoted. 

Placement visits must take place within statutory timeframes under care planning regualations.

The Social work visits to looked after children policy and the Placement visits procedures set out the requirements for the frequency, conduct and recording placement visits.
