Placement visits and CLA reviews

As a corporate parent, it is the duty of the local authority to monitor placements and review care plans regularly to ensure the child's needs are being met and their welfare promoted.

Reviews of the child's care plan is a statutory requirement under care planning regulations.

The Statutory CLA review practice guidance provides guidance on local arrangements for making arrangements for and consulting everyone on review meetings and on the conduct of review meetings.
