Working with families

Good partnership working with families is essential for helping to build relationships and agree and implement plans to improve outcomes for children. This requires a high level of contact with children and families.

Non-engagement is a serious issue that negatively impacts on social worker's ability to work constructively with families and can have consequences for a child's safety and welfare.
