Children in need processes

Children in need processes

Children in need (CIN) are defined as children who need services and support in order to reach or maintain a reasonable standard of health and development.

All children who are known to CSFH will be children in need and case management will involve the processes of assessment, planning and review.

During private family proceedings the court may request a report from CSFH regarding the welfare of the child who is the subject of proceedings.

The policy for providing court reports under Section 7 and Section 37 of the Children Act is available in the court ordered reports policy.
