Special Education Needs
Children and young people with complex special educational needs will be entitled to a statutory SEN service.
Statutory SEN services are delivered by the Special Educational Needs team.
The team is responsible for the following:

carrying out statutory assessments for Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans and overseeing the EHC planning system;

commissioning specialist school provision for children whose needs mean they are unable to access mainstream education;

providing transport for children to ensure accessibility to school provision;

providing an educational psychology service to help children improve their learning;

commissioning and agreeing residential provision via the Complex Needs Panel in line with the Local offer residential education policy.
