Child sexual abuse

Child sexual abuse

Child sexual abuse (CSA) describes a number of different types of harm arising in various contexts and can have a long-term impact on the well-being of the child.

It is important that practitioners are able to recognise and respond appropriately where there are concerns or suspicions of CSA.

The CSCP CSA strategy Think the unthinkable (2025) sets out Camden's approach to CSA which is to: prevent, identify, support and disrupt/prosecute.

Practitioners should also be aware of the CSA procedures that should be followed when working with a child where there are concerns about CSA.
