Induction and probation

Induction and probation

Induction is a planned programme of events and learning designed to introduce new workers to Camden and prepare them to carry out their role.

Probation is the period at the beginning of employment where workers are assessed and supported to ensure they are able to meet required standards and fulfil their role.

New social workers and personal advisors joining Camden need to know what to expect from their induction and work closely with their supervisor to ensure an induction programme and written plan is set up for them and that this meets their needs.

For more information on how induction is carried out in Camden see the induction handbook for social workers and personal advisors.
