The CSCP believes that joint training allows all those in a child’s professional network to gain an understanding of each other’s roles so that they are better placed to provide joint responses.

Many of the courses provided by the CSCP are aimed at non-social work staff and may not be appropriate for social workers.  Training that is specific to the needs of social workers is on offer but staff need to check that the level of training is suitable before applying.  

However students and newly qualified social workers may find the courses useful and should discuss attendance with their Practice Educator or supervisor.
