Camden Model of Social Work

Camden Model of Social Work

The Camden Model of Social Work is the model of practice used in Camden that is based on a set of guiding principles and core beliefs where the relationship between the social worker and child and family is a key asset.

Group reflective supervision is the mechanism for enabling practitioners to discuss cases using systemic principles.

Reflective supervision groups are made up of pods of social workers led by a senior practitioner and with an allocated Tavistock mentor who can support the session.

Case supervision consists of a structured discussion of cases allowing workers to use family therapy to explore dilemmas.

Discussion is structured using the materials in the systemic rucksack.

For further details see the supervision policy.
