About the Social Work Academy

About the Social Work Academy

Welcome to the Camden Social Work Academy. The information here sets out Camden's offer to social workers in order to help them develop and progress their career and achieve a high standard of professional practice that makes a difference to children's lives.

To provide access to a wide range of learning opportunities, the Academy has forged partnerships with a variety of agencies and organisations.

The Camden Safeguarding Children Partnership is responsible for multi-agency working within the safeguarding and child protection arena in Camden, in partnership with police, health services and other agencies. The partnership provides multi-agency safeguarding training that enables social workers to learn alongside safeguarding partners in other agencies to ensure a truly multi-agency outlook on safeguarding children.
