Analysis and chronologies

Analysis and chronologies

Analysis is the process of making sense of the information gathered during the assessment and allows social workers to construct a coherent story of the child’s life.

Chronologies are a key part of collecting and collating information on family history and providing evidence of outcomes from interventions and can help social workers identify key patterns.

An up to date chronology should be part of all MOSAIC case files that have progressed beyond assessment.

Social workers should follow the CSFH Chronologies practice guidance for information on when to begin chronologies and what information should be included. The chronology template is available on MOSAIC.
